"Damn, it just don't play!", "What's the problem now?"...
There is a lot of people that work everyday with mulltimedia compositions, audio and video, or just like to play around with these things. Playback of all necessary audio and video files could be a real pain if you don't have a proper codec pack installed on your computer.
But even if you do, there is always a little chance that you will not be able to play that movie or song that you just downloaded. Well this program called GSpot will not solve your problem at first sight, but it could be a perfect companion to find the cause, and orient you towards the solution.
GSpot can be a great help to troubleshoot any problem with your "rebel" file that just refuses to play. You can load this file into the program and see a LOT of useful information about your file: path, size, container, audio and video codecs used, video information frame by frame and stats, and it proposes a set of codecs that you can use to play this file if available.
Moreover, the program will stat if you are able to play this file or not. And offers you a list of all codecs installed on your system.
